# Welcome to $HAIR Max token

The $HAIR token is the memecoin of the Hemi Network ecosystem. It originated from a recurring joke within the community, referring to the silky hair of Maxwell Sanchez, co-founder of Hemi Network. This joke gained popularity during the weekly AMAs, called “Midweek with Max,” where community members began to regularly comment on the quality of his hair.

The craze surrounding this joke took on unexpected proportions when the community itself proposed creating a token inspired by the joke. This is how the $HAIR Max token was born, symbolizing both the playful spirit and active involvement of the community in the Hemi Network ecosystem.<br>
